Misbah-ul Haq, head coach of Pakistan cricket team since May 2016 will step down from his position. He has been replaced by Waqar Younis as the new bowling coach who had already announced an end to his coaching career in April this year due to health issues. The decision comes shortly after announcing a squad for 2021 T20 World Cup consisting mainly young players with not many established stars figuring in it.”
The PCB announced on 10th March, 2019 that the duo had a year left in their contract. They would be joined by Saqlain Mushtaq who is currently serving as bowling coach at National High Performance Centre (NHPC).
