Prasidh Krishna added to India’s squad for the Oval Test

Prasidh Krishna, the Karnataka pacer was named in India’s squad for the fourth Test against England on September 2nd. He has replaced Mohammed Shami following a request from Indian team management.

Prasidh was not able to play in the first three games, and India went on to win all of them. However, he would get his chance as Kumar injured himself during training before the fourth game which meant Prasidh got a place in the playing eleven for that match.

Meanwhile, Cricbuzz understands Ravindra Jadeja’s knee injury isn’t a serious cause of concern and the all-rounder will be available for selection. India’s only spinner used in the series so far injured his knee during England’s first innings but later batted as well following this scare. It was not until after Tests concluded that he went to get precautionary scans done on his leg which showed no signs of long term damage or high risk factors associated with it.”
“Meanwhile,” “Crickbuzz”, and other words like them are unnecessary filler text that don’t add anything substantial to what is being said already (unlike how they were added by mistake before). So I removed those from my output below:
